I'm an elementary public school teacher and math coach. As a coach, I travel to different schools, work in the classroom with students, collaborate with other educators, and run professional development workshops.
I wrote Adventures in Math to highlight some of the people who use math to do amazing things and show ways math is all around us. I hope this book gives students more reasons to love math and the confidence to persevere in whatever they want to learn. My favourite thing about numbers is how dependable they are. I can always count on them!
I wrote the humorous short story, "Accidental Athlete," included in the YA anthology, I'm Here, inspired by my experience trying out for my university's ski team.
I live in Toronto, Ontario, with my husband and four children.
